
Scholars from the University of Latvia’s Faculty of Humanities and affiliated institutions will actively participate in the conference. On March 4, the pre-conference workshop "Tradition Archives and Digital Humanities II" will be organized and led by Associate Professor Sanita Reinsone, in collaboration with researchers from other universities. Additionally, Sanita Reinsone is a co-organizer and participant in the DARIAH ERIC workshop "How to Structure and Manage National Digital Humanities Infrastructures."
Valts Ernštreits, Director and Researcher at the University of Latvia’s Livonian Institute, will present a paper on the transformation of the Livonian folklore archive into a multifaceted digital resource. Meanwhile, Ieva Pīgozne, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Latvian History of the University of Latvia, will deliver a joint presentation on the Wikibase system for Finno-Ugric data collections.
Sandis Laime, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Literature, Folklore, and Art of the University of Latvia, together with Sanita Reinsone, will give a talk on the development of the digital platform Garamantas.lv over the past decade. Additionally, Ilze Ļaksa-Timinska, a researcher at both the Faculty of Humanities and the Institute of Literature, Folklore, and Art, along with doctoral student Haralds Matulis and Assoc. Prof. Sanita Reinsone, will present on the digital analysis of Latvian pandemic diaries. Meanwhile, Jānis Daugavietis, a researcher at the Institute of Literature, Folklore, and Art, and Sanita Reinsone will deliver a joint presentation on the ecosystem of digital humanities tools and resources in Latvia.
DHNB is the most significant academic event in the field of digital humanities in the Nordic and Baltic region.
