Nevalstiskā organizācija “Integrācijas un Miera Institūts” (Latvija) kopā ar organizāciju “The Feast” (Lielbritānija) un Latvijas Universitāti (LU) rīko pirmo starpreliģisko darbnīcu jauniešiem - “Embrace yourself, embrace diversity”.
Pasākums norisināsies 24. septembrī, plkst. 18.00 LU Bibliotēkas Klusajā lasītavā (Raiņa bulvāris 19, 203. telpa). Darbnīcu vadīs “The Feast” vadītājs un speciālists starpreliģiskajos jautājumos Endrjū Smits (Andrew Smith).
Darbnīcas ietvaros tev būs iespēja kopā ar citiem jauniešiem no dažādām reliģiskajām tradīcijām veidot dialogu, kas palīdzēs uzzināt vairāk gan par sevi, gan apkārtējiem – par to, kā ir būt “citam”, kāda ir iecietības loma dažādās ticībās, kā arī par to, kā iespējams kopīgi veidot tolerantu sabiedrību.
Tā kā šis ir pirmais šāda tipa pasākums, šoreiz aicinām piedalīties jauniešus no trīs reliģiskajām tradīcijām - Jūdaisma, Islāma un Kristietības, bet nākotnē plānojam pasākumu paplašināt.
Darbnīca paredzēta ierobežotam cilvēku skaitam, lai dialoga laikā pielietotās metodes varētu visefektīvāk izmantot savstarpējā darbnīcas dalībnieku komunikācijā.

! Pēc darbnīcas visiem interesentiem būs iespēja pievienoties diskusijai plkst. 19.30, kurā tiks pārrunātas darbnīcas laikā iegūtās atziņas.

The non-governmental organization "Integration and Peace Institute" (Latvia) in collaboration with "The Feast" (United Kingdom) and the University of Latvia, is hosting the first interfaith workshop for young people "Embrace yourself, embrace diversity".
The event will take place on September 24, 6 PM in the Silent Reading Room of the Library of the University of Latvia (19 Raiņa blvd., Room 203). The workshop will be led by Andrew Smith - an interfaith dialogue expert and the founder of "The Feast".
As part of the workshop, you will have the opportunity, together with other young people from different religious traditions, to create a dialogue that will help you find out more about yourself and about how to be “other”, the role of tolerance in different faiths, and how it is possible to build a tolerant society together.
Since this is the first event of this type, this time we invite young people from three religious traditions - Judaism, Islam and Christianity, but we are planning to extend the event in the future.
The workshop is meant for a limited number of participants so that methods used in the dialogue can be applied most effectively.

! After the workshop everyone who is interested are welcome to join the discussion at 7:30 PM where the lessons learned from the workshop will be discussed.
