Piesakies dalībai ikgadējā Latvijas Universitātes Teoloģijas fakultātes konferencē 
(2020. gada 17. – 18. februāris)
“Kurp ejam? Teoloģija, reliģijpētniecība un garīgums 21. gadsimtā”.

Latvijas Universitātes Teoloģijas fakultāte (LU TF) aicina pētniekus un speciālistus prezentēt unikālus un inovatīvus pētījumus LU 78. starptautiskās zinātniskās konferences teoloģijas un reliģijpētniecības sekcijā. Konference notiks 2020. gada 17. un 18. februārī un, atzīmējot LU TF simtgadi, tēma šogad veltīta jaunajām tendencēm abos pētniecības laukos: “Kurp ejam? Teoloģija, reliģijpētniecība un garīgums 21. gadsimtā”.

Šīs starptautiskās konferences mērķis ir apskatīt un analizēt pašlaik sastopamās tendences teoloģijas un reliģijpētniecības jomās, kā arī aktualizēt pieejas, metodoloģijas un virzienus, kas būs nozīmīgi turpmākajos gados. 2020. gadā LU Teoloģijas fakultāte atzīmē savu 100 gadu jubileju, tādējādi konference ir arī veids, kā izzināt vērtīgus piemērus fakultātes turpmākajai darbībai. Mēs ceram, ka konference izraisīs diskusijas, kas palīdzēs reflektēt par nozīmīgu reliģisku un sociālu notikumu mijiedarbību.

Lai nodrošinātu dažādas pētniecības perspektīvas un starpdisciplināru skatījumu uz teoloģijas un reliģijpētniecības jomu turpmāko attīstību, konferences organizētāji aicina pieteikt referātus par sociālā taisnīguma, liturģijas un mākslas tēmām. Paralēli galvenajām konferences tēmām, iespējams pieteikt referātus arī par šādām tēmām:

• Nākotnes garīgums;
• 20. gs. Latvijas teologu ideju kontinuitāte šodien;
• Migrācija un sociālā integrācija;
• Jaunas pieejas un metodes teoloģijā un reliģijpētniecībā.

Konferences pieteikumu iesūtīšana:

• Pieteikumi dalībai konferencē ir jāiesūta līdz 13. decembrim;
• Pieteikumi jāiesniedz Word vai PDF formātā;
• Pieteikumā jābūt norādītam autora vārdam un uzvārdam, akadēmiskajam grādam, kā arī referāta nosaukumam;
• Pieteikumiem jābūt latviešu vai angļu valodā, un tie nedrīkst būt garāki par 250 vārdiem. Vēlams norādīt arī 3 – 5 atslēgas vārdus;
• Pieteikumus izskatīs un izvērtēs īpaši izveidota darba grupa. Par dalību konferencē autoriem tiks paziņots  līdz 20. decembrim;
• Pieteikumus sūtīt uz ilze.stikane.tf@lu.lv.

Call for papers: annual conference of the Faculty of Theology, University of Latvia

(17-18 February, 2020)

The Faculty of Theology, University of Latvia invite academics, researchers and practitioners to present original research and case studies at the 78th International Conference of the University of Latvia. This year’s theme of the theological and religious studies conference section is “Where are we heading? Theology, religious studies and spirituality in the 21st century.”

This conference aims to bring together different perspectives to explore the new tendencies within the field of theology and religious studies, also addressing new research approaches and methodologies that will become more important in the upcoming years. In 2020 the Faculty of Theology (UL) is celebrating it’s 100th birthday, hence this conference is also a celebratory way how to explore valuable examples for the further work of the Faculty of Theology. We hope that conference will help to reflect upon important interaction of religious and social events and themes.

In effort to include diverse research perspectives and offer interdisciplinary insight towards the further development in the fields of theology and religious studies, the organising committee of the conference welcomes proposals about social justice, liturgy and art, that still address overarching theme “Where are we heading? Theology, religious research and spirituality in the 21st century.” Other themes may include:

• Future of spirituality;
• The continuation of the ideas of theologians that lived and worked in Latvia during the 20th century;
• Migration and social integration;
• New approaches and methods in theology and religious research.  

Guidelines for abstract submissions:

• Abstracts must be received by 13th December;
• Abstracts must be submitted in the Word or PDF format;
• Abstracts must contain the name and surname of the author(s), academic degree, and the title of the paper;
• Abstracts must be submitted in Latvian or English and may not exceed 250 words. Please also include 3-5 key words;
• Submissions will selected by a committee and authors will be notified of the status of their participation in the conference until 20th December;
